Do you have a quick start
guide to get me going quickly?
EzCoin has a convenient context sensitive
help system built in. We suggest youi use that for full explanations. We
do also have a one page Quick
Start Guide in PDF form. Just click on the link to view it
.
How Do I backup my coin
Data?
EzCoin has a convenient backup option
built in. Simply go to File, Database Utilities
and select Create a Backup. This will
backup all your data ( except images ) so you
can easily recover your data if need be.
The Restore option is also in File, Database
Utilities.
Another way to backup your data is to
use the Export option from the File menu. This
allows you to select which fields to export
( or just select all ). Once the data is
exported, you can re-import it directly
into EzCoin
How do you arrive at your
coin values? Are they accurate?
We determine the coin values by
monitoring most online auctions, coin periodicals and
most the leading coin catalogs. Coin dealers
buy and sell prices also play an important
part in the coin values. We then use an
algorithm to accurately weigh these different
values and determine the true market value
for your coins.
How Do I Grade My Coins?
Use PCGS Photograde™ Online
With PCGS Photograde™, you can
obtain the approximate grade of your coin by comparing it to the photo
that most closely matches its appearance. After you’ve done that,
you can go to the PCGS
Price Guide to get a ballpark idea of how much the coin is
worth.

Will EzCoin run on a MAC
computer?
EzCoin is a native PC application and
will thus not run on a MAC computer UNLESS
you use an emulation program such as Virtual
PC or SoftWindows. We have
hundreds of MAC users running EzCoin in
this way. Most MAC shops will carry these
programs.
Can I enter coins from
countries that are not in EzCoin yet?
Yes, you can enter data for any country.
Simply go to File, New & select from the
extensive list of countries & create
the data file. Then open the country and enter
the information you like. Only the denomination,
Year & Type are required.
Can I add my own coin
images?
Absolutely. You can add images of your
coins. Just go to the Edit Menu, Select
Adjust Image Links & either scan your
coin in or paste it from the clipboard or
load it from your hard drive.
Will you be adding other
countries? How can I get these new countries?
Yes, we currently provide databases for
USA, Canada & the Canadian Provinces.
We will be adding a comprehensive database
for the UK ( Great Britain ) in the
near future. All registered users will
be notified when it is available. You can also
check back on this web site periodically
to see what is available. |
